Probably you’ve seen it already and if not, omfg, watch it right away. I had to sleep on it, just to be sure it is worth mentioning and now I’m crazy about it. Yeah, I’m talking about M.I.A’s Bad girls video. The singer-hipster-rapper-provocateur is now bringing bling bling to the Middle East.

Bad Girls was shot in Ouarzazate, Morocco and was directed by awesome Romain Gavras (who also shot her not that fabulous Born Free video). Talking about rights obstructions (???) has never been so much fun until M.I.A decides to gangsta about it.

After a long absence due to mating and birthing, child that is, the mother of all hipsters, decides to premiere in two videos the same day. And bang, you can see the sri lankan british artist in Madonna’s Give me all your luvin featuring Nicki Minaj. Not that mind blowing, ofc. (Madonna is stubborn like a mule, she insists in looking like she is 20 even though we’ve all seen she is 60).

It was dope to have so many people from so many different backgrounds speaking so many different languages come together to create something that we believed in. I thought I was gonna die on the shoot when I saw the drifting. It was a four day shoot so everyone was on edge the whole time specifically ME when I had to do bluesteel singing to the camera while the cars did doughnuts on the wet road ten feet away. In my mind I was thinking how I was gonna deliver the video to Vice with no legs.”
